Wisteria Season - Romantic Couple Photography in Norwich
I had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to photograph someone at this location, and I was thrilled when the chance came up.
Some places already feel cinematic before a camera ever comes out, and this park in spring is one of them. It had the feeling of an old film set. Timeless and romantic without trying too hard. The perfect setting for a romantic, vaguely cinematic couple photoshoot.
One of the things I can never stress enough when planning a session is how environment and styling need to work together.
Not to match perfectly. Not to disappear into the background. But to belong together.
For this session, the colours were chosen carefully to sit beautifully within the location, complementing the soft purples of the wisteria and the warm tones of the stone without blending into them. I always want my couples to feel connected to the landscape while still standing out within it.
The dress worn for this session came from my client wardrobe, something I offer to make choosing outfits feel less overwhelming and more inspiring. I spend time curating pieces that photograph beautifully, move well, and fit the feeling of the locations I recommend. This dress worked perfectly here. Soft enough for the romance of the flowers, structured enough to hold its own against the textures of the stone.
And once the styling feels settled, something changes. People stop thinking about what they’re wearing and start paying attention to each other.
